I am the Walrus
Coo-coo-cachoo
Our big event while in Vegas came on Sunday night when we went to see LOVE, the Beatles Cirque De Soleil show. This was my first cirque experience so I wasn't sure what to expect and to tell you the truth... I was a bit nervous. My nerves were put to rest the second the show started and, let's just say I was in a state of pure amazement for the remainder of the show.
It was un.be.lievable! I can't even begin to tell you how much we loved it, it was hands down the coolest live show I have ever seen.
Outside the theater entrance.
The coolest/oddest thing about Vegas is their acceptance of public drinking. We took some time to gamble before the show which means we had drinks before the show. As soon as we handed over our tickets there was a concession stand for you to buy popcorn... and more booze! Mike got a beer and I got a Vodka-Diet. The man asked if I wanted a large or small and when I said small... he made fun of me! He held up the big glass and said, "are you sure!" Let's just say, I wouldn't have made it through the show if I had the large drink. Once we found our seats we had to make way for a little old Asian lady to find her seat further down the row. She passed us carefully so she wouldn't spill her beer the size of Mike's! I'm going to say she was at least 70 and Mike had to work to finish his beer before she did! It was crazy!
Gambling at the Mirage.
The show was at The Mirage hotel so we stayed there for a while after and played some roulette. I was $9 away from doubling my money and was confident I could make it all the way to doubling when my confidence got the best of me and I lost it all! Mike won more than I did but unfortunately, we ended up even in the end!
If anyone is interested in a trip to Vegas and wants to see a show, we highly recommend LOVE. You will not be disappointed.
