Crazy Bag Lady

Anyone who knows me knows I am pretty good with organization, it's probably not even a secret that I can be a little over-organized. I got home yesterday and realized just how overly organized I can be...


If you can see, there are 5 bags here and there are two more outside this picture that I also had balanced somewhere on me.











Before I go further, allow me to plea for sanity explain... one bag holds my things for tutoring, one had my grad. books and computer, one is my gym bag, and so on and so forth. 

Okay, so here's my question... am I the only one who compartmentalizes my day into different bags or am I truly a crazy bag lady? 

As I think back to me pulling all of these bags out of my car and hiked them, one by one, onto my shoulders, thank goodness for our elevator, yesterday (and just for a nice visual, there's a huge fan literally a foot from my garage spot so as I'm bent over and getting situated I have hair all up in my face... awesome) I'm leaning towards... crazy bag lady. What's a girl to do?! Any blogger friends out there know of a magic bag for all these things? Feel free to leave a comment. And if you think I am crazy... leave a comment too, it's good for me to hear it maybe then I'll move towards making a change.     I am amazed at how many bags I can carry into school on any given day. Lunch, school books, exercise gear, purse, and during baseball season a bat and helmet bag for Evan! Although none of my bags are as stylish as yours! :-)

Welcome to Iowa!

Come one, come all… to a place called Iowa (it’s in the middle, not to be confused with Idaho ). Welcome blog-trotters , I’m happy you are here! My Iowa journey began 8 years ago at Iowa State University and I’m now going on year 4 of my true residency as an Iowan. My husband and I live in the center of the downtown area of Des Moines. We make a living by teaching the youth of America (or future Iowans themselves). Baby P has Arrived

It's true... the wait is finally over... Baby P has officially joined the world. William Michael Pentek  finally  joined the world on June 18th! Truth be told, I was  completely shocked  it was a boy. I secretly was convinced it was a girl the entire time I was pregnant, honest. I didn't say anything ever because I truly did not care either way, it was just a feeling I had. And I was wrong! Mike was actually the one to announce the sex once he came out and I was in shock!! Here's Will the day after he was born. Here's Will as we packed up to leave the hospital. This picture cracks me up because the look on his face looks so  skeptical as if he's thinking, "are they really going to send me home with these  two?!" haha, can't say I blame him. :) Will is now 12 days old and we've been home for a week and 2 days. He (and we) even survived his first road trip to Minnesota this past weekend. We are adjusting very well...
