Oh baby don't you wanna go

... to that same old place... sweet home Chicago!

I took a half day personal day on Friday afternoon, hopped in a car with my sidekick Erin and we drove all the way to good 'ol Chi town. Well, actually we drove to Geneva and took the train into the city (driving into the city and city parking rates... no thank you!)

So happy for the weekend festivities to begin!

Once we arrived, we took a few minutes to freshen up and we were off for the evening.

A lovely little pitcher for 2 lovely ladies

We started the night at Cafe Ba-ba-reeba for some tapas and sangria. We ordered a half pitcher and I had to take picture of it because it was so cute! Great food... and I tried Kalamari for the first time! Good, a bit slimy, but good.

Next we set out for Rockit were we met two guys that ended up hanging around for the rest of the night. Erin was itching to go to The Hangge Uppe but our new friends suggested a pit stop on the way... a wonderful bar called Streeter's Tavern.

Erin and our new friends.

They had super sized Jenga! They also had a fooseball table and Erin and I discovered we could actually hold our own when playing against two boys. We didn't beat them, but we put up a good fight.

Doesn't this look like fun?!

More from the windy city coming up...
