A confession

I am slightly embarrassed to confess that I have been completely sucked into the Twilight craze. I resisted it for some time and finally surrendered. I'd say I finished the first two books with a relatively leveled head, then I started the third. Thank goodness we have had 2 snow days in a row because I have been reading nonstop!!!!
I truly think it's a combination of a couple things. 1, they are relatively easy books to read which makes it easy to get through very quickly. 2, you just can't stop reading because you have to know what happens! I'm in the middle of the last book now. I'll report back when I have completed it (because I know you'll be on the edge of your seats, hehe).

    Just wanted to let you know that I am also enjoying the books. Kelly made me see the first two movies with her, and I really enjoyed the them...especially New Moon. "Abs in the Rain" is how we refer to it. So I am reading the books now. I'm trying to finish up the second one so I can start the third. Kelly won't let me start it until I finish the second one even though I know how it ends.

    Haha, I like your code for New Moon. I did not get to see but am kicking myself for it. It's going to be a very long wait for the DVD release. I hope you enjoy the other books, #4 is the best! Happy reading!

I wasn't sure I wanted to write a post about Will's arrival partly because I believe this is a very intimate event meant for an exclusive crowd (in our case this would include just Mike and I) and partly because I wasn't sure I'd really want to relive the event. Welcome to Iowa!

Come one, come all… to a place called Iowa (it’s in the middle, not to be confused with Idaho ). Welcome blog-trotters , I’m happy you are here! My Iowa journey began 8 years ago at Iowa State University and I’m now going on year 4 of my true residency as an Iowan. My husband and I live in the center of the downtown area of Des Moines. We make a living by teaching the youth of America (or future Iowans themselves). We both come from neighboring states (I’m from Minnesota and he’s from Illinois ) but we are thoroughly enjoying our lives here in the capital city. Baby P has Arrived

It's true... the wait is finally over... Baby P has officially joined the world. William Michael Pentek  finally  joined the world on June 18th! Truth be told, I was  completely shocked  it was a boy. I secretly was convinced it was a girl the entire time I was pregnant, honest. I didn't say anything ever because I truly did not care either way, it was just a feeling I had. And I was wrong! Mike was actually the one to announce the sex once he came out and I was in shock!! Here's Will the day after he was born. Here's Will as we packed up to leave the hospital. This picture cracks me up because the look on his face looks so  skeptical as if he's thinking, "are they really going to send me home with these  two?!" haha, can't say I blame him. :) Will is now 12 days old and we've been home for a week and 2 days. He (and we) even survived his first road trip to Minnesota this past weekend. We are adjusting very well...
