I am a travel bug wannabe...
I dream of far-off places daily (honestly, I do) and Mike absolutely loves to travel too... but we lack the means. It's so ironic that we are both teachers and have 3 months off together every summer... yet we don't make enough to travel to all the places we'd like to.
I know, I know, boo hoo for us right?=)

This does not stop us from daydreaming though.

We saw these amazing resorts in Fiji when we were looking at honeymoon destinations. We knew that were way out of our league, but still... isn't it just amazing...

and I dream of going here...
I tend to think that Mike and I are pretty fun people and I would just love to get absolutely pissed (i believe that's their word for intoxicated) in a picturesque European pub. Europe is my daydream, day and night... I just want to go!

Do you think it's funny that Mike thinks about the romantic secluded island and I dream about drinking? This may be why we are such a great match for one another =)

Although international travel is the ultimate destination for us, there is still plenty to see here on the mainland which is obviously a much more realistic way of thinking for us. We just happen to be the perfect combination...

I wasn't sure I wanted to write a post about Will's arrival partly because I believe this is a very intimate event meant for an exclusive crowd (in our case this would include just Mike and I) and partly because I wasn't sure I'd really want to relive the event. Welcome to Iowa!

Come one, come all… to a place called Iowa (it’s in the middle, not to be confused with Idaho ). Welcome blog-trotters , I’m happy you are here! My Iowa journey began 8 years ago at Iowa State University and I’m now going on year 4 of my true residency as an Iowan. My husband and I live in the center of the downtown area of Des Moines. We make a living by teaching the youth of America (or future Iowans themselves). We both come from neighboring states (I’m from Minnesota and he’s from Illinois ) but we are thoroughly enjoying our lives here in the capital city. I have found my favorite things about Iowa categorize themselves into seasons, which is how I will present this lovely state to you today. Baby P has Arrived

It's true... the wait is finally over... Baby P has officially joined the world. William Michael Pentek  finally  joined the world on June 18th! Truth be told, I was  completely shocked  it was a boy. I secretly was convinced it was a girl the entire time I was pregnant, honest. I didn't say anything ever because I truly did not care either way, it was just a feeling I had. And I was wrong! Mike was actually the one to announce the sex once he came out and I was in shock!! Here's Will the day after he was born. Here's Will as we packed up to leave the hospital. This picture cracks me up because the look on his face looks so  skeptical as if he's thinking, "are they really going to send me home with these  two?!" haha, can't say I blame him. :) Will is now 12 days old and we've been home for a week and 2 days. He (and we) even survived his first road trip to Minnesota this past weekend. We are adjusting very well...
