How do you know your man really loves you?

I was poking around on Facebook a while ago (as if I don't have a huge list of actually important things I need to be doing) and I came across a picture of Mike and I from a long time ago in a friends album. 

Let's just say I was less than impressed... 
I mean here I am trying to look cute and my (at the time) boyfriend is trying to eat my face.

Then it hit me... I have a lot more pictures like this sitting in my computer files.
I believe we are seriously intoxicated in this picture, so maybe he didn't even realize what he was doing (sure we'll go with that)

Now, what excuse can I make for this one? He doesn't look even remotely happy to be included in the same frame as me. sad face

At this point, I'm thinking... wait a minute, I mustn't be too hard on my loving and adorable husband. There simply must be something going on behind the camera that is scaring him so much he just can't help but scream.

or maybe he loves me so much that he really wants me to be the shining star in our pictures. 
Yes! That must be it, he knows how beautiful I am and wants the world to know it by not taking the spotlight away from me in the picture.

awww look here he is doing it again... he just wants everyone to know how cute I am.

Gosh, whatever came over me at the beginning of this post?
 I am so lucky to have a man who loves taking pictures of me so much he is willing to look like an idiot in them just to make the spectator look directly at me and shower me with compliments. Girls, try not to be too jealous I'm sure your picture files hold secret information about all the things your man does just to show you how much he loves you.
I'm so lucky. hehe

I wasn't sure I wanted to write a post about Will's arrival partly because I believe this is a very intimate event meant for an exclusive crowd (in our case this would include just Mike and I) and partly because I wasn't sure I'd really want to relive the event. Welcome to Iowa!

Come one, come all… to a place called Iowa (it’s in the middle, not to be confused with Idaho ). Welcome blog-trotters , I’m happy you are here! My Iowa journey began 8 years ago at Iowa State University and I’m now going on year 4 of my true residency as an Iowan. My husband and I live in the center of the downtown area of Des Moines. We make a living by teaching the youth of America (or future Iowans themselves). We both come from neighboring states (I’m from Minnesota and he’s from Illinois ) but we are thoroughly enjoying our lives here in the capital city. Baby P has Arrived

It's true... the wait is finally over... Baby P has officially joined the world. William Michael Pentek  finally  joined the world on June 18th! Truth be told, I was  completely shocked  it was a boy. I secretly was convinced it was a girl the entire time I was pregnant, honest. I didn't say anything ever because I truly did not care either way, it was just a feeling I had. And I was wrong! Mike was actually the one to announce the sex once he came out and I was in shock!! Here's Will the day after he was born. Here's Will as we packed up to leave the hospital. This picture cracks me up because the look on his face looks so  skeptical as if he's thinking, "are they really going to send me home with these  two?!" haha, can't say I blame him. :) Will is now 12 days old and we've been home for a week and 2 days. He (and we) even survived his first road trip to Minnesota this past weekend. We are adjusting very well...
