I'm loving...

The Food Network!

I've noticed, from reading other blogs, that HGTV is a very popular channel. While we do love our house hunters and design on a dime shows, I also totally love The Food Network! I could watch cooking shows day and night, I think cooks/chefs are amazing. True confessions time: When I run on the treadmill, my best runs happen when I'm watching a cooking show. Weird, I know but I think it's because I'm so engaged. You'd think I was a much better cook than I am with all these cooking shows I like to watch.

One new show that I am really into right now is...
5 Ingredient Fix with Claire Robinson
The name says it all and it's true, she makes everything with 5 ingredients or less. The coolest thing, to me, about this show is that I'm learning all about foods and ingredients that'll give you the most bang for your buck, flavor wise. I'm also learning which techniques are better for bringing out the most flavor in your foods such as roasting and slow cooking. I'm not sure what I am going to do with this knowledge, but it's cool to know!

Other food network faves include:
Rachael Ray, Giada, Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay, Barefoot Contessa, Melissa DiArabian, and Sandra Lee (there are more but if I went on I might as well just include the link to the website, oh wait maybe I should anyways... Yummy Food)

There are two shows I can't stand on this network though:
Paula Deen for two reasons:
1. I can probably say two entire sentences in the time it takes her to spit out the words flour and eggs (and you'll understand me better)
2. She spells her last name totally wrong, I may be biased on this one but, D-e-A-n is way better

Down Home with the Neely's is a tough one to watch too, they're just too happy.
