Walk for a Cure

Mike and I are firm believers in giving back. Being two young teachers makes it difficult to give back as much as we'd like, but there are a few organizations that are near and dear to our hearts. This is one of them...
Every spring, one of our very dear friends from college participates in the annual Walk MS event in Minneapolis. MS stands for Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that effects 400,000 men and women in the United States. Kelsie's mother, Lori,  is one of them. MS effects the brain and spinal cord and can have many different symptoms including sudden blindness or memory failure. Lori has suffered from MS for 17 years and, in time, it has taken her ability to walk. As you can imagine, being isloated to a wheelchair has made it impossible to do many of her favorite things.

Kelsie and her team raise money each year to support MS research in hopes that someday soon, a cure will be found.

If you would like to find out more about the MS walk and how to donate please follow the link below...

Kick butt Kelsie! We're sorry we can't be there to walk with you. You will be in our thoughts!
Love- Mike and Sarah
