A glimpse of spring?
We had one gorgeous day here in Des Moines on Saturday. It was one of those days that was so crisp and sunny, if it weren't for the 67 feet of snow outside, you would've thought it was 60 degrees at least! It wasn't... I think it reached 30, but for the second to last day of February, I'll take it!
We felt a bit inspired by the glimpse of the light at the end of this winter tunnel and thought it'd be a great night to make burgers and corn! Now, don't laugh at us, but we had to do some research for yummy things to put in our burgers. I searched the internet but wasn't too satisfied with the results so I pulled this trusty friend off the shelf...
and voila! If you're an amature cook such as myself, I would highly recommend this for your cookbook collection (and I think I only paid 24.95 for it, and it's about 700 pages... score!)
Anyways after finding what we were looking for, it was ready, set, cook!
Ojash actually joined us for dinner on Friday and Saturday night this weekend! Being a med student puts you on a bit of a crazy schedule so we are so happy to hang out with him every chance we get. And what a great burger maker, huh!!
Mmmm, it smells like summer... hmm all we need is some sunshine and ice cold beverages!
Happy March everyone!
