So long, 2010!

I'm baaaack!

What a wonderful holiday break it has been! I hope your Christmas and New Years were memorable. We spent Christmas at Mike's parents house where we enjoyed lots of great food and family time. I also got a lot of wear out of my cloud pajama pants, despite packing multiple pairs of sweatpants outfits I stuck to one pair of pants for 7 whole days... whoa.

For new year's this year we decided to join forces with our friends who live in the same apartment complex as us and have a progressive party in our various homes. This turned out to be a great decision because we didn't have to deal with the new year's crowds or the cold temperatures! I am not proud to say, however, that due to the great party we threw for NYE my first meal of 2011 was a double hamburger meal from McDonalds and I cannot for the life of me remember the last time I ate one McDonald's hamburger let alone two... again, whoa.

As I spent time reflecting year twenty-ten I realized, despite the craziness at the end of the school year last year, 2010 was a pretty low key year for us. I suppose this was in order considering 2009 was the biggest year to date for both of us. I felt humbled when I thought about Mike and I heading into yet another year together. 2010 was quiet but I have a feeling 2011 will be a big one for us. We have a ton of weddings on the calendar including Mike's sister in July. We are so excited to celebrate so many wonderful people and couples. There has also been talk between us that this may be the year we... buy a house. *A little history: We decided against buying a house when we got married because we didn't think we were prepared to be that grown up... therefore this is a big development for us =). All just thoughts for now but... who knows. I'll also complete my Master's degree in May so we are, of course deciding the best way to celebrate that as well.

I'm happy to be back in the blogosphere everyone! I hope 2010 went out with a bang and you too are excited for the year ahead. Cheers!!
