Mid-Week Weekend Update
Say what?
Good thing I was able to publish this post before we are officially closer to next weekend than the past weekend, right? phew
Here's a recap of what went down in the Pentek Abode this weekend, plus a little-o-this and a little-o-that from yours truly (who's surprised, anyone?)
- Mike helped a dear friend in need of a fresh coat of paint in her newly renovated kitchen after work on Friday. I told him to be super careful and to do a better job than we did in our kitchen. From what I hear, he did not disappoint.
- On Friday night we hosted some college friends we haven't seen in a while despite all of us living within about 10 miles of each other. It reminded me of how great it is to spend time with people who've known you for a long time; warms your heart a bit.
- Saturday night marked Date Night for Mike and I so we got all gussied up and enjoyed a lovely dinner at Django. Django never disappoints.
- I am finally finished with The Hunger Games series. The review is in the works but I must warn you, my feelings are slightly different from those of the people who absolutely love it. Stay tuned
- Have I ever mentioned my somewhat embarrasing obsession with all things Bravo? Well, I have one, and with the return of one of my all time favorite Bravo-lebrities, I received proof that my obession is only going to grow in the upcoming months (I'm not even going to mention my excitement over the return of this favorite too, o.m.g).
- Did you know by the end of next week it'll be March? March?!? Craziness. Wasn't I just sharing with you all the projects we completed over winter break? (thankfully I'm not still waiting for the damn shelves to dry) I think a huge part of this semi-shock is that it hasn't even felt like winter! I'm not ready for spring yet, I haven't had a chance to get over winter and all her fury. Am I right, or am I right? I wonder... will we have one last hurrah or experience ridiculously long spring/summer?hmmm
