Thanks, continued

#7- Cooler Weather
I think this makes me kind of weird but I am not a fan of hot, hot weather. Don't get me wrong, I love summer and sunshine but around September-Octoberish I'm ready to say enough is enough. I love the time of year when the temperatures begin to drop and we get to reinstate comfy, cozy clothes into our wardrobes, cook and eat comfort foods, and enjoy being indoors. It also means the start of the holiday season which is always exciting, right?

#8- Traveling
Whether it's a camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park or Las Vegas, I'm thankful to have the opportunity to travel to new places. I'm especially thankful to have married such an awesome travel companion :).

#9- Weekend Adventures
Last night Mike and I hit up the Des Moines Food and Wine show. We went last year and had a great time and last night was just as fun. Tonight we're attending a Friendsgiving party which I've been looking forward to now for about a month. Sometimes we're busy bees and sometimes our adventures include simpler things like enjoying a pizza with a beer at home, just the two of us. Either way we manage to make the best of the precious two days we have off and I'm thankful for this.

#10- Home Improvement
Nope, not the TV show (which I did like, by the way) but the act of improving our home. I've learned I really enjoy the fact that we have a home we can make our own. I feel such a sense of accomplishment when we make changes both big and small to spruce up our surroundings. I also like how Mike involves himself in most of these changes and also plays along really well when I say things like, "let's paint our kitchen this weekend." He's such a good sport ;).
