A random list to liven up your Wednesday-

#15- Supportive Parents: Yesterday I had one of the best parent teacher conferences I've ever experienced. Conferences can be very tough for many reasons but one of the main concerns is when you don't really have too many positive things to say. This particular conference was along these lines and it went better than I could've ever expected. We have a plan, we're excited, I really feel like we're going to make a difference in this child's life. I love when things work like this and it definitely reaffirms why I love what I do. Thank you to all the parents out there who understand their kids, the good and the not so great, and do everything they can to help them become as successful as they can be.

#16- My best friends from high school: For some reason I have been thinking about the two of them specifically a lot lately... maybe it's because I know a reunion is in the works over Thanksgiving. We don't see each other as much as we'd like and I can't help but feel slightly guilty about this because I was the one who chose to move away from our home. I just hope they know how much I love them and how thankful I am to have them in my life. I wouldn't be me without them.

#17- Iowa State: This list is so random but I think it's an accurate portrayal of how my brain is working at the moment. Oh man, Iowa State... there are so many things I am thankful for when it comes to this fabulous institution. I could write an incredibly sappy and lengthy "Ode to Iowa State" but I'll give you the short version" I came, I formed friendships beyond my expectations, I drank, I became what I dreamed of being my whole life, I made my parents proud, and I fell in love. Iowa State, I am forever in your debt.
