I'm thankful for the sweet smell of a savory dinner roasting away in the oven when I come home from an exhausting day at work, and the husband behind all this goodness.
It has taken us a long time to figure this whole dinner thing out, but I'm happy to say our latest agreement is looking like it may be a good fit. Mike gets home much earlier than I do so it only makes sense to put him in charge of dinner for the evening. Luckily, he does not mind this... as long as there is a plan in place. So we've decided we will do our best to plan our week, meal-wise. Then, I will shop, he can cook, and we'll split the dish duty (actually this was technically not part of our agreement, but in my executivehouseholddecisionmakingontheblog, I'm going to go ahead and say the last part will be shared).

We've discovered we really enjoy bone-in chicken cooked various ways in the oven. I was pleased with this because chicken legs and thighs are considerable cheaper than boneless-skinless breasts. Tonight we made this lovely recipe and really enjoyed it.
I guess an alternative intro. to this post could be- I'm thankful for my husband who is willing to prepare wonderful meals for us to share together.
