A few things you may be thinking:
- Wow! It looks like the kitchen is really coming together! You have a floor, a clean table, and even a garbage can!

- Oh nice, Sarah's rubbing it in our non-teacher faces that she's currently sitting in her kitchen, enjoying the view, and blogging.









While these are all great guesses, the true purpose of this picture is to capture my computer in all her Divalicious glory. Why? You may be asking... because this exact spot on this table in our kitchen seems to be the only place in our house where Miss Laptop connects to the internet. What? I promise readers, this is it, I bring her to the living room and... nothing. I bring her downstairs and... zip. I bring her to the office... yeah, right. It's only in this. exact. spot.

Clearly I have figured out my laptop is a girl... it's the only explanation for the extreme high maintenance tendencies.

PS- Since Miss Thang has decided to connect, I'm about to embark on a blog-o-rific marathon of posts. Strap on your seat belts folks =)

I wasn't sure I wanted to write a post about Will's arrival partly because I believe this is a very intimate event meant for an exclusive crowd (in our case this would include just Mike and I) and partly because I wasn't sure I'd really want to relive the event. Welcome to Iowa!

Come one, come all… to a place called Iowa (it’s in the middle, not to be confused with Idaho ). Welcome blog-trotters , I’m happy you are here! My Iowa journey began 8 years ago at Iowa State University and I’m now going on year 4 of my true residency as an Iowan. My husband and I live in the center of the downtown area of Des Moines. We make a living by teaching the youth of America (or future Iowans themselves). We both come from neighboring states (I’m from Minnesota and he’s from Illinois ) but we are thoroughly enjoying our lives here in the capital city. I have found my favorite things about Iowa categorize themselves into seasons, which is how I will present this lovely state to you today. Summer/Fall One of our absolute favorite things about Des Moines is the farmer’s market ! Baby P has Arrived

It's true... the wait is finally over... Baby P has officially joined the world. William Michael Pentek  finally  joined the world on June 18th! Truth be told, I was  completely shocked  it was a boy. I secretly was convinced it was a girl the entire time I was pregnant, honest. I didn't say anything ever because I truly did not care either way, it was just a feeling I had. And I was wrong! Mike was actually the one to announce the sex once he came out and I was in shock!! Here's Will the day after he was born. Here's Will as we packed up to leave the hospital. This picture cracks me up because the look on his face looks so  skeptical as if he's thinking, "are they really going to send me home with these  two?!" haha, can't say I blame him. :) Will is now 12 days old and we've been home for a week and 2 days. He (and we) even survived his first road trip to Minnesota this past weekend. We are adjusting very well...
