Happy Belated SPD

Everyone seems to be talking about the extreme difference in weather on St. Patricks Day between this year and years past. So it got me thinking...

here we are 2 years ago at the St. Patricks Day street party here in DSM. Clearly it's warm enough to wear a t-shirt or the beer is keeping us warm and toasty which is always a possibility with these two, geesh.

Last year, Mike's parents were here on St. Patrick's Day and the boys went golfing while Mike's mom and I got pedicures and layed out on our deck (not even joking, we fell asleep and had tan lines).

And this year, it was 35 degrees and pretty damn cold. I can't say I totally mind it though. Although it we had a great spring last year people seem to forget the ungodly hot summer we had. Personally, I'd rather have a chillier spring if it means we can enjoy summer all the way through.

I hope you enjoyed your St. Patty's day. Mike's parents came for a visit and we spent time on Saturday at the Twisted Vine Brewery and Exile Brewery. We had a great time at both and the Twisted Vine Brewery actually has both beer and wine so it's fun for everyone. It was great spending time with them while also enjoying some local brew. Yesterday we enjoyed a green pitcher (or 4) at a pub close to home and had ourselves a grand ole time. So far, sb2013 is off to a fantastic start.
