Don't worry... they have a very lovely life.
I know it's only Tuesday, and the fourth day of the month, but I'm literally bouncing off the walls for the month ahead. Here's a rundown:
This coming weekend: My best friends from MN and Chi-town are coming to visit and to see the new house. I'm like a kid awaiting a trip to Disney World... I can't wait to see these ladies! To prove my excitement, I'll show you some pictures from the last time they came to visit...
Truth: To curb my excitement, I've been looking at these since Sunday night and it only makes me more excited... is it Friday yet?!
October 15-16: Mike and I get to enjoy Friday off due to conferences and the best part about this is, I don't have any conferences to prepare! It's crazy to think this bi-yearly staple is no longer part of my routine, but I have to say, the level of calm I feel right now is a welcomed change! Also, Mike is going to kindly allow me to come out to celebrate the end of conferences with his teacher friends (whom we adore) which means, again, I get to celebrate conferences without having to plan them, stop it, you're killing me!
October 22-23: ISU Homecoming which is sure to include various shenanigans.
October 29-30: Mike has a soccer tournament for his adult league which means we will have had five weekends in a row in which we are not traveling or attending an out of town wedding. This is definitley out of the ordinary for us but also very welcomed.
I do believe I have a few house projects up my sleeve knowing I'll have multiple weekends in a row to complete them. I also think a Halloween/Oktoberfest gathering may be due sometime in late October for our friends in the new house. Wow... lots to look forward to.
As if it couldn't get any better than that... November includes: The 2nd Annual ISU Alumni Tailgate (read about the first annual here and here), Thanksgiving in MN, and... attending Wicked at the Des Moines Civic Center... stick a fork in me, I'm.done.
PS- Anyone catch the Sex and the City reference in the title... from the episode with the chickens on the roof that are actually roosters... anyone... Bueller...
