Catching Up
Will is officially 4 weeks old today and boy has he had a busy 4 weeks of life so far! I'm learning I can't really take time off from blogging because Will changes so much in one week let alone a month or more. As if an explanation of how quickly children grow is really needed, allow me to demonstrate how Will is growing and changing through pictures (with a little update on what we've been up to mixed in too)...
Here's Will at 9 days old on his first road trip. We went to Minnesota to celebrate Uncle Jake's high school graduation (!).
Just before the 4th of July we experienced unusually cool weather which meant our summer baby had to be dressed more like a fall baby. Luckily, he looks just as dashing in fall clothing as he does in summer clothing.
Will's first 4th of July, 2 weeks and 2 days old.
At 3 weeks old, Will took his 2nd road trip back up to Minnesota to celebrate his Grandma's retirement. *Side note- his legs and feet look huge to me here. You can tell he's filling out and starting to look less like a newborn here.
And here's a picture I snapped during yesterday's exercise session one day shy of 4 weeks old. Currently, Will's exercises include tummy time, play gym time, and various positions on the boppy pillow. He's on the boppy pillow here which puts him at the perfect height to snap some cute shots of him while he's working out.
Along with our two road trips we've also entertained a variety of visitors here in Iowa throughout the last 4 weeks. It's been a whirlwind but Will has been so great, he certainly is a trooper :). Now we're home for some time just the 4 of us (Mike, me, Will, and Jackson) so it'll be nice to settle down for a bit, enjoy each other, and continue snapping shots of our favorite little guy. The next week or so will probably be the most random mix of thoughts from me (what else is new, right?) since I'm still finishing up pregnancy posts (for real, get that sh*t over with already), Will's arrival, turning 30 (!), and whatever else comes to mind thrown in the mix too. Can you feel the excitementin my fingertips through the computer screen? :)
