Weekend Update
List form... comin atchya...
1. Mike had an extended weekend full of quality "guy" time in Wisconsin. They do this every year, usually at the end of the summer, but this year they decided to wait and make a late fall/winter getaway out of it. We're both thankful for mild weather making for a smooth trip there and back.
2. Once the guys weekend was on the schedule (back in October) and called my mom to see if she wanted to make a trip south for a girls weekend. She agreed and arrived on Friday afternoon. We spent the entire day shopping on Saturday and were very productive indeed. Again, I'm thankful my mom had a smooth trip here and back.
3. We saw Footloose on Friday night! My mom and I were really excited (and I'm sure you can imagine Mike's disappointment over missing this event... i kid, i kid) and I'm happy to report, it was highly entertaining! Maybe it was us, we have a soft spot in our hearts for movies like this, but we thought it was great.
4. I'm not sure what this means but I spent way more time, energy, and money buying things for Mike during our shopping extravaganza than I did for myself and I didn't even mind, I actually had a lot of fun. Part of it was the amazing deals we scored and I honestly don't know what the other part of this equation was... (Toto, we may not be in newlywed territory anymore...).
5. Our "Winter Break House Project" list is growing by the minute. I'm hoping at some point my brain realizes we only have a week and a half off. By the looks of our list, you'd think we had a month =).
6. We are heading into our last full week of school before winter break and we're honestly both really excited for this. I'm as much ready for a break from work as I am ready to kick off a new year. 2011 has been exciting and exhausting all at the same time. We're still deciding how to celebrate. I do hope we do something worthy of a sparkly outfit. I love sparkly outfits for New Year's =).
Okay, enough about me... how've you been?
