Summer Travel

FYI readers- when you schedule to close on a house and plan three separate occasions to travel outside the area you call home, it can lead to the summer flying by before your eyes. I'm not complaining, this summer is one of the greatest yet (for real), I'm just saying... summer travel = summer past.

So, what have we been up to? Here's the lowdown on our July timeline thusfar...

7.5- U2360 concert at Soldier's Field in Chicago
This isn't my picture, I found it here, but this is better than mine. Get a load of this stage!!! It was such a great concert, a great mix of old and new plus, we got to attend with some great friends who didn't even mind we were in row 36 and the last row in the entire stadium was 39, talk about a birds eye view!

7.9- Said goodbye to one helpful dad and welcomed another. Why were they here, you may be asking? To help the clueless happy new homeowners with everything from drywalling to moving, sawing and mold removal. Rest assured readers, everything is a-ok and thank goodness we have the families we do. We love you =).

7.10- Wished the best little bro in the world a happy sweet 16... good gracious I'm he's old!

7.11- Mike and I became proud new owners of a washer, dryer, microwave, and dishwasher! Again, we're old. And, for those who may be in the market for some brand spankin' new appliances, a trip to Best Buy is worth the time, we hit up some sweet deals.

7.14- We found ourselves back in the city of Chicago for some quality time with the Dean family.

We hit up the bean, Navy Pier, and of course, a cubs game!! Which, of course, they lost, but it's the experience right? At least that's what we kept telling ourselves.

7.16- We spent the day celebrating an absolutely wonderful couple and "officially" welcomed a new member to the Pentek family. Missy and Brian, we're SO happy for you! The only pictures I have are of the girl time we spent together at the beginning of the day.

Missy, you looked gorgeous! What a great day =).

7.18- Mike made sure this very special day started on a sweet note. He made a secret trip to the flower store which allowed me to wake up next to this...

Then we continued our second anniversary with shopping, dining, and finally seeing Harry Potter!! I cried... it was spectacular.

All in all, July has been pretty good to us. I suppose I could say summer is flying by but when you look at it this way it's clear we're packing it full of wonderful things. Plus, with the 100 degree weather we're having I'd say summer is here to stay, for a while at least. Now, it's time to officially move into the house. Get excited for lots of pictures to come!
