Treading Water
It's possible I say this too often but, I do apologize for my absence. It's the beginning of the school year and the best way I can describe the feeling is to compare it to treading water. maybe more like treading water for a long time. like, so long that you start to struggle to keep an open airway above water. and then there's that moment where you're not positive you'll make it to the edge and you can finally say you did it. It's sorta like that.
Admittedly, there really isn't a logical excuse as to why this makes us feel this way. This is my 7th year teaching and Mike's 6th so you'd think we'd have a few things figured out by now. Luckily, things are looking up and we seem to be settling into the routine of another school year. Though things have been a wee bit crazy these past few weeks, I look forward to the return of regular postings on the blog. Thanks in advance for bearing with me as I recap the end of the summer, you're the best =).
